Volume Create and Manage
In this guide, you will learn how to create and manage volumes in the Block Storage Service.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
- Access to the SkyAtlas Cloud.
- The necessary permissions to create volumes.
Steps
Log in to the SkyAtlas Panel
Log in to the SkyAtlas Panel using your credentials.
Navigate to Volumes
Navigate to Volumes section in the Dashboard.
Click on "Create Volume"
In Volumes section, click on the "Create Volume" button to initiate the volume creation process.
Fill in Volume Details
Fill in the required details for the volume, such as volume name, description, and size.
Volume Source
If we want the disk to be filled with data during its creation, we can choose a source.
Confirm and Create Volume
Review the volume details and click "Create Volume" to confirm and initiate the volume creation.
Manage Created Volume
Once the volume is created, you can manage it by attaching it to instances, creating snapshots, or deleting it when it's no longer needed.
